Agatized Vicarya Casings: These are
beautiful agatized Vicarya mollusk casings from Indonesia. They are Miocene in age, 5-24 myo.
They were formed when a liquid mineral slurry filled the mollusk
shell and then mineralized over time. There may be restoration on
some of them as they were chiseled out of rock and carefully
air-braid cleaned.

sides of the shell are included with this fine bivalve fossil. It is uncoated and offered
as it was found...with some silt deposits on the inside of the shell. These specimens are
palm size, 3 to 5 inches in diameter.
