Neolithic Bog Oak Wand

The wood used to create the wand is almost 7,000 years old and was found in a bog in Norfolk UK.  Trees of this age were felled with stone axes before the bronze and iron age.  Once it sunk into the bog, the tree was deprived of oxygen and bacteria and preserved.  The wand was hand crafted in Scotland by a master craftsman.

This wood has been preserved from decay anaerobic and acidic bog conditions. Bog Oak has a rich historical and classical background. It is rarer than diamond; Bog Oak is easily the most expensive wood in the world.
